Background
A local farm approached Robbie at ITC Solar Renewables to maximise solar PV coverage on their farmhouse roof. The goal was to implement a system across three phases, while adhering to the G98 kilowattage regulation for grid compliance. The family aimed to store the daytime-generated energy in batteries for night use and sell any excess energy back to the grid.
Customer Requirements
The customer requested:
- The highest-efficiency solar panels available, with an all-black design for aesthetic appeal.
- The best warranty and yield guarantee for long-term reliability.
- A system capable of maximizing energy storage and grid export.
Proposed Solution
To meet these requirements, ITC Solar Renewables designed a three-phase solar PV system using:
- Solarwatt 405 Classic black panels
- SolaX Power X3-Hybrid-8.0-D · 8000W
- 3 × SolaX Power Triple Power T-BAT H 5.8

The system’s design was compliant with the G98 regulations, ensuring smooth operation within the grid’s limits.
